THE 4-0 win against St Mirren was exactly what Rangers needed after a tough week against Braga and Celtic. Going away to Paisley was never going to be easy. It was going to be a test of the players' character and desire. They all passed with flying colours. With Alfredo Morelos out injured for the season, there is a place up for grabs and Giovanni wanted someone to step up and make the no.9 role their own. Kemar Roofe came out from the shadows to grab a hat-trick against St Mirren. That will do his confidence the world of good. I thought he played well when he came on against Braga last midweek and he will be a certain starter on Thursday in the return leg. He is an intelligent footballer and also knows the way to goal. During his time at Rangers he has scored some cracking goals but has been unlucky with injuries and has maybe lacked a proper run in the team. Well, with six weeks of the season remaining, let's hope he can be available for selection for every game. He has the ability to make a significant contribution between now and the end of the campaign to make sure we win silverware. Joe Aribo's goal was also out of the top drawer and the team also needs him on top of his game. This is a massive week and it starts with the Europa League. We are only one goal down and I believe Braga are there to be beaten. Sure, they won 1-0 last week but there wasn't too much there to make me think they will come to Ibrox and be comfortable. With the 50,000 crowd behind Giovanni and the team, it can be an intimidating arena and I don't think Braga will find that easy. That's why I'm sure we can go through and into the semi-final. That would be a brilliant achievement. That will give us even more confidence for Sunday's Scottish Cup semi against Celtic. But we will be tired. However, it's important to find ways to overcome any mental and physical fatigue at Hampden Park. We need to find a way to defeat Celtic and I'm sure we can do it. Being involved in a Scottish Cup Final on the last day of the season is very special. Let's all get behind Giovanni and the players in the next few days to give them the best possible chance of having a week to remember.
