It's vital to go to Aberdeen on Sunday full of confidence and ready to win the game.

There is no doubt that Barry Robson and his players will be feeling they can win the game.

They are on a very good run of form, defensively very strong, and put themselves in an excellent position to finish in third place.

But we have also had some very good victories and we should feel we will get another one.

It would be the perfect preparation for the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic the following weekend.

We will need to be 100 percent on our game to win that match at Hampden.

Before that, however, there is a job to be done in Aberdeen. I used to love going there and you always had to be on your toes.

Aberdeen never made it easy and they were ready to do battle.

We had to be ready for a physical contest, but we also had a better quality of player and our class usually won the game.

I hope that's the case on Sunday. And I'm confident it will be.

We go there on the back of a 5-2 win at Ibrox against St Mirren. Todd Cantwell played very well and I like the way he penetrated the Saints backline.

Alfredo Morelos also scored two goals and the way he executed his second goal was good to see. It was a composed and carefully placed finish.

That's the Alfredo we all want to see on a regular basis. I hope he can keep that going this weekend and then take it into Hampden.

If his time at Rangers is coming to an end - and it looks as though it is - it could well be he wants to go out with a bang and I'd love that to be the case.

Maybe there is a final, glorious chapter for Alfredo at Rangers. I'm sure he'd love to grab the headlines in the next couple of games and be the hero. Sure, it only takes one guy to find the back of the net, but it will need to be a team effort. The subs will also be required to play their part.

Away at Aberdeen and in the semi-final, we are going to need everyone with their shoulders to the wheel and ready to give their all.

This is not a time for passengers or hard-luck stories. This is a time to stand up and be counted. Be ready to do the business for Rangers.
