THE OLD Firm game is almost here and nobody needs to be reminded of how important it is.

With seven SPFL Premiership league games to go, and trailing Celtic by three points, there is no next to no margin for error.

I believe we will get the victory on Sunday and get back on level terms. It could well be that we will need to win every game between now and May 15th to retain the title. That is a massive ask but it is within the capabilities of Giovanni and the players. The players will need no reminder of what happened the last time we played Celtic. We lost 3-0 and the guys should still be hurting, I'm sure.

They must use that bad experience in a positive way on Sunday. They must make sure they do not feel that pain again. With almost 50,000 Rangers supporters backing the team, it should be a wonderful atmosphere for our players and an uncomfortable one for Celtic. It is often said that the fans can be the 12th man and I believe that to be the case for this game.

This is a time for everyone to be together. A Championship is on the line and entry into the Champions League. It's the most lucrative prize in the history of Scottish football.

As a Football Club, we have enjoyed many successes in the 150 years of history. To win the League this year but will be up there with the best of the achievements. Every player will be important in this fixture, but I do hope Alfredo Morelos is fit and available. He is a matchwinner.

I know Giovanni and his backroom staff have worked hard with Afredo since they came in and he has responded by turning in some brilliant performances. If he can produce another one on Sunday then we have every chance of being in a good place come the full-time whistle. I'm really looking forward to the game. I think it's going to be a cracker.

I was at Ibrox last Saturday for the 150th anniversary game and it was special to be a part of it. I felt very privileged. The fans were great that day and I know they will be again on Sunday. Let's hope we are all celebrating at full-time.
