In terms of the transfer window, there is so much that can happen between now and Thursday evening. It can be quite exciting for supporters as they see who comes into the football club and who may well depart.
So far, the arrivals of Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande are confirmed. We've been linked with two or three other players.
You can never take anything for granted, but we look set to come out of this window with a much stronger squad than what we started it with. That will please the manager, for sure.
However, most of what happens in transfers is out of his control. He will identify targets and advise of who he wants to move on.
But that's it. He doesn't get involved with negotiations after that. It's left to others.
What he will be focused on are the games of football.
And we have two massive games coming up, both at home.
Livingston come to Ibrox on Saturday and we are strong favourites to win.
Aberdeen then travel down to Glasgow on Tuesday evening and we should also win that one.
The job of the management and players is to pick up three points every week. That is in our control.
What we cannot have any command over is what happens to Celtic. We're looking for other teams to cause them problems that lead to dropping points.
That said, the destination of the SPFL Premiership is in our own hands. If we win every game we will be the Champions in May.
Sure, it's a really tall order to win the next 16 games and take 48 points but that is the reality of what we should be looking to do.
James Tavernier will be demanding that from his team-mates and rightly so.
If you are playing for Rangers, you are there to be successful and deliver silverware.
You're not here to be happy with being second best.
I've a feeling we can do it, I really do.
I've every respect for Celtic because they are top of the League and have been very successful for a number of years.
But there appears to be a little bit of nervousness inside their camp just now and we must be ready to take full advantage.
